Silver Blades Events

Silver Blades is dedicated to making life at the rink fun, as well as a place  where skaters can develop and hone their skills. We run several events throughout the year, including: 

• A Skating Apparel Sale where you can stock up on gently used skatewear at awesome prices
• A biennial Winter Open House in December to showcase some of our skaters and a family skate
• Four Test Days throughout the year to give skaters a chance to try Skate Canada tests and progress through the test stream
• A Club Competition where skaters can compete in a fun, relaxed atmosphere
• CanSkate Olympics, run biennially, as a "fun day" on the last CanSkate session of the year
• A biennial Ice Show (our most celebrated event), a full-fledged gala that features our skaters and coaches, and typically a talented guest skater
• An End-of-Year Banquet to celebrate the achievements of our Preliminary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior skaters with dinner, dancing, award presentations and an acknowledgement of test levels passed
