Silver Blades Annual General Meetings
Every year, Silver Blades hosts an AGM where all members are invited to attend. It is held within 60 days of the close of the skating season. Board members review the season’s successes and opportunities for improvement relating to each of their core board roles. The financial statements are reviewed, the constitution and its by-laws may be amended and ratified and the board members for each year are voted in.
This is your chance to help shape the club’s priorities and direction for next season (one vote per family), and spend some time getting to know our board of directors, coaches and other club members.
In past years it has been a social event where mingling among members, coaches and board members takes place with cocktails and snacks, followed by a more formal meeting. In 2020 & 2021, the meeting was held virtually due to COVID-19. Future years may be a combination of both.
Anyone interested in being on the board for the following season can nominate themselves by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 21 business days prior to the date of the AGM, or get in contact with one of the members of the Nominating Committee. We also invite you to send questions you have for the board in advance so they can address them in their reports.
