2020 SBSC INTERIM BY-LAWS

As part of the AGM, Silver Blades' Constitution and By-laws were reviewed and updated.  In ratifying the current constitution and by-laws, additional amendments were noted.  As per By-law #34, the Board of Directors can enact new by-laws on an interim basis, to be ratified at the next AGM.  The updated by-laws are posted under the About Us tab and the proposed amendments can be found HERE.

SILVER BLADES STATEMENT ON ANTI-RACISM

Silver Blades Skating Club is an organization dedicated to enabling skating for all.  Our goal is to promote an inclusive environment that celebrates the sport of skating. We are more than a club, we are a community.

Skate Canada has recently posted a Statement on Anti-Racism.  Silver Blades Skating Club supports that statement and is also committed to anti-racism.  We welcome insights and guidance from club members on how our club can learn, grow and support diversity and inclusion.

Check out this video of a 9 year old skater who took to the streets with her “skates”.  This video is a reminder of the safe, open and inclusive skating environment our club supports.  Click HERE to view.
